Texas Iconic Hotel
An iconic hotel located in the Austin Texas area was struggling with the financial burden of high property taxes. The hotel itself was in a good area but was dated and had a long list of deferred maintenance items. Pivotal was able to help the owners by appealing their property values. After inspection of the property and discussing the issues with the Hotel Manager, Pivotal was able identify a list of deferred maintenance items that should have been backed out of the appraisal districts valuation but were not. Pivotal went to the local appraisal review board and argued the case on behalf of the owners.
The board agreed with the owner’s position and Pivotal was able to save the owners approximately $176,000 in property taxes.
