Shaunna Smith is a property tax professional with over 20 years of business administration experience with 10 of those years in real estate. She started a career as the administrator of an established private school in Arizona. It was there that she oversaw the budgets, tax credit program, and day-to-day operations of the school’s four campuses from 2000 to 2010. In 2010, Shaunna became involved in the real estate appraisal industry as a manager and coordinator of an appraisal company. Her position there allowed her to develop a deeper understanding of real property appraisal techniques and property tax.
Shaunna joined Pivotal Tax Solutions in 2012 where she oversees the client relations team. She values and understands the importance of engaging with our clients to deliver a superior service experience. She makes it her priority that our clients are fully aware of all aspects of Pivotal’s services, provides quarterly reports on appeal progress and results, analyzes data and ensures it’s accurate and understandable, as well as furnishes clients with detailed budget and accrual information. Shaunna understands that dedication with client relations brings opportunities to expand business relationships. For example, Shaunna recently saved a client $3 million through tax related exemptions by taking the time to honestly engage with the client and learn more about their business operations. Shaunna is a member of the Institute for the Professionals in Taxation.
